Guest Post - The Design Chaser

It's been a while since I last visited, so if you missed my first guest post, pop over here to find out a little more about me and my blog The Design Chaser

Today I'm going to share with you a delightful home in Denmark that I found on boligmagasinet, one of my regular haunts when searching for inspiring homes. I was delighted to discover this treasure belonging to interiors journalist Camilla Høeg Gade from Good Morning Denmark, where she lives with her two young daughters, Nanna and Alma.

Camilla knocked down some walls to transform what was originally three small rooms into a bright, open-plan kitchen and dining area. She says the kitchen splashback makes her happy, and I can see why. Created from handmade tiles, they give the black and white space a gorgeous burst of colour. The blue Smeg fridge immediately stole my heart, as did the Design Letters Plates on the wall and the Muuto Dots on the cabinets, both of which I'm coveting right now!

In the dining area, Camilla has created a striking wall feature by covering a piece of MDF with a bookshelf wallpaper from Rue Verte. Wool chair covers add warmth and texture.

A section of the living room wall has been painted in grey, to create a cosy corner. I love the way Camilla combines design classics with fleamarket finds, such as the Kartell Ghost Chair and vintage coffee table.

A nook under the stairs provides the perfect place for Camilla's Ikea dresser, which she has personalised with cute little coloured knobs. A special moment snapped impulsively on Camilla's iPhone makes a gorgeous photographic wall feature below.

Formerly a living area, the white-washed workspace is my favourite room. I love how Camilla has covered one wall in wallpaper from Ferm Living, and added a pop of bright colour in the form of a yellow Tolix Stool, which sits aside a stylish Eames Chair. The desk is an Ikea dining table, painted black. Pretty storage boxes from House Doctor keep the area clutter-free, while a basket from Ferm Living holds rolls of gift paper.

Lush shades of purple and pops of green make this bedroom a girly haven. Butterflies from Ferm Living flutter above a gorgeous mix of pattern and texture seen in the bedlinen, rug and leather pouffe.

Camilla made the above headboard herself with a piece of MDF covered in fabric. Gorgeous bedlinen from Hay, bright wallpaper and cushions found on a trip to Marrakesh add vibrancy and colour.

In the bathroom Camilla has brightened up an Ikea cabinet with some left over wallpaper.
